![]() ![]() Faceless shapeshifters get nerfed a bit because they don’t attack when first revealed like in the base game.īut the chosen are tough, especially early on.īut I remember when I played XCOM 2 last year in the beginning, there was some ridiculous moments where the gun was literally aiming at the enemy face and I was getting 60% of chance to hit him or something like that. You get Reapers who are specialized in stealth and they make the timed missions easier. War of the Chosen makes the game easier in some ways and harder in others. ![]() As for shots randomly missing sometimes, those “dice rolls” are part of the game and the way to “get gud” is to change your strategy so you always have a plan B when possible if someone misses a shot. XCOM has a learning curve and once you understand it, these things don’t feel “unfair,” unless if the game just isn’t for you.Īs others have said, different weapons have different effective ranges. If you want to have fun with xcom you have to treat each soldier death and failed mission as a learning opportunity rather than blaming the game for being unfair - but if that mindset isn’t appealing to you and you’d rather just say it’s the game’s fault, then you probably wouldn’t enjoy the process of getting good at xcom. Someone may die, someone may be kidnapped, you may have to abandon the mission. You haven't leveled or gotten any counters yet. The Chosen are capable of some things that in the early game may feel like utter bullshit. Infact the DLC will probably be worse for you. ![]() When your firing 4-6 times a turn, every mission is bound to have a miss that you felt was guaranteed. Accuracy gets better as people level up, you get gun attachements like scopes, get perks and upgrade tech, but early on you will probably miss quite a bit.Ī 95% shot is not a sure thing. Some guns are less accurate if you're -too- close to an enemy. No, and to be honest the series doesn't sound like it's for you. ![]()
